ANNUAL RECOGNITION NIGHT (2024 – 25)

J.H.Tarapore School hosted its prestigious Annual Recognition Night, celebrating students who exemplify excellence in academics, character, and perseverance. The evening commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by a heartfelt prayer song and a graceful dance performance, reflecting the school’s rich cultural ethos.

The event was graced by Dr. Vinita Singh, the Guest of Honour, who commended the students for their dedication and achievements. Parents, teachers, and guests cheered and motivated the prize winners as they were honored for their outstanding contributions.

In line with NEP 2020 guidelines, the school emphasizes holistic development, recognizing students across various categories, including Academic Excellence, Good Conduct, Most Responsible, and Perseverance. Special awards were presented by the Director Mrs. Rubina Bodhanwala, Founder Principal & Former Director Mrs Nargis Madon, Principal  Mrs. Lata Sharat, and Vice Principal Mrs. Rukshana Gardin, celebrating achievements in club activities, Olympiads, and leadership roles.

Among the notable awardees:

1.      Middle School All-Rounder Award  – Pragya Bhardwaj (Std VIII)

2.      Vice Principal’s Award for High School All-Rounder – Sakshi Mahato (Std X)

3.      All-Rounder’s Award : Higher Secondary – B. Pratyusha  (Std XII)

4.      Principal’s Award :‘A Person for Others’ – Tasmia Fatma (Std XII)

5.      Afiya Meraj was honoured with the People for Change Award by Mr. Souvik Saha, founder of the NGO ‘People for Change’

6.   Shreya (Std XII) received the Rinku Sehra Award for Humanities, instituted in memory of Late Ms. Rinku Sehra, who was a teacher for 17 years at J.H.Tarapore School.

Adding to the spirit of generosity, charity cheques were presented by Mr. Bailey Bodhanwala, Chairman of the school, to Mrs. Sharmina Parikh and Mrs. Abha Thakur from MCKS Food for the Hungry Foundation, Mr. Souvik Saha from the People for Change Organization, and Mrs. Nora Shiva for her tireless efforts in supporting the education, food, and accommodation of underprivileged children since 2009.

The evening concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Vanya Pandey, Assistant School Pupil Leader, appreciating all who contributed to the event’s success.

Nursery Day 2025

The tiny tots of J. H. Tarapore School shined brightly during their first-ever Nursery Day program on Wednesday, 5th February 2025. The school presented a captivating showcase of the nursery students’ talents, creating a delightful spectacle that left the audience mesmerized, emotional, and enchanted.

This engaging event not only highlighted the creativity and confidence of our young learners but also encouraged parental participation. Parents joined their little ones on stage for a series of heartwarming performances, including dances where parents and daughters performed together, symbolizing the special bond between them. The nursery children displayed remarkable confidence and enthusiasm, taking the audience by surprise and leaving them in awe of their performance.

The parents and esteemed guests applauded the efforts of the parents, children, and teachers, whose tireless dedication made this event a grand success.

The day was a true testament to the school’s vision of nurturing young minds through education, culture, and the performing arts.

GRADUATION NIGHT 2024 -2025

“Success starts with every challenge, not from the comfort zone.

The formal Graduation Night and Valediction was held on 16th January, 2025. It was a solemn day that marked the achievements, dedication and determination of the students.

Our Chairman, Mr. Bailey Bodhanwala, Director, Mrs. Rubina Bodhanwala, Mrs.Tina Bodhanwala Sood, Director, Tarapore School, Mrs.Nargis A Madon, our former Director, Principal Mrs. Lata Sharat and Vice Principal Mrs. Rukshana H.Gardin and the teachers blessed and wished the students of Std.XII luck for their future endeavours in the midst of their parents.The day was a significant milestone in the lives of the graduating students, who have demonstrated exceptional academic prowess, creativity, and leadership skills throughout.The students were presented with mementoes and certificates.

FAREWELL (2024-2025)

As the curtains draw on another memorable chapter at JHTS, we bid adieu to a batch of 2025 who have made their mark. The theme of “Prom Date” set the tone for an enchanting evening, celebrating not just the journey but the friendships and memories forged over the years.

The highlight of the evening was the crowning of our Prom Queen, Anshika Sharma, whose grace and charisma truly lit up the ambience. The title of Most Popular was well-deserved by Afiya Meraj, a testament to her vibrant personality and the joy she brings to those around her. Finally, the prestigious title of Miss JHTS was awarded to Shubhi Jain, whose elegance and character represent the essence of our institution.This farewell was not merely a parting moment but a heartfelt homage to the cherished memories and invaluable lessons gathered over the years. It marked the end of one chapter while heralding the dawn of new opportunities and endeavors. The students bid adieu with a wealth of unforgettable experiences, longing to revisit the treasured moments that defined their high school journey.

Celebrating the Dances of Cultures

J.H. Tarapore School, renowned for its commitment to holistic education, joyously celebrated its Kg. Parents’ Night on Wednesday, December 18th, 2024. The evening unfolded with the theme “Dances of Cultures,” captivating the audience with a vibrant display of cultural diversity.

The program showcased a mesmerizing journey through various dance forms from around the world, as the little stars of J.H. Tarapore School brought cultures to life with their delightful performances. From the rhythmic beats of Africa to the graceful movements of Asia, and the dynamic energy of Latin America, every act was a celebration of cultural richness and unity in diversity.

The distinguished Chief Guest for the evening, Mrs. Anu Tewary (Principal of Baug-E-Jamsheed School), graced the event with her presence and inspiring words. She praised the school for its efforts in nurturing creativity and promoting cultural appreciation among the students. Esteemed guests, Mr. and Mrs. Bodhanwala and Mrs. Nargis Madon, also lent their support, adding warmth to the occasion.

The highlight of the evening was the sheer enthusiasm and confidence of the young performers, whose captivating expressions and impeccable coordination left the audience spellbound. Parents and guests applauded the efforts of the children and teachers, whose dedication brought this spectacular event to life.

Annual Sports Day 2024

J.H. Tarapore School celebrated its 22nd Annual Sports Day on 28th November 2024 at the J.R.D. Tata Sports Complex with enthusiastic student participation and well-coordinated activities.

The event began with the Chief Guest, Mrs. Vibhuti Adesara, Head of Sports Events and Training Centers, Tata Steel, being warmly welcomed by the Director Mrs Rubina Bodhanwala, Principal, Mrs. Lata Sharat, the Vice Principal, Mrs. Rukshana Gardin, the School Head Coach, Mr. V. Arun Kumar, and the Primary Sports Head, Ms. Ekta Mandal. Following the welcome, Mrs. Adesara hoisted the school flag, marking the commencement of the program.

Following the flag hoisting ceremony, Mrs. Adesara was honored with a grand march-past led by the School Pupil Leader, Tasmia Fatma, and Assistant Leader, Vanya Pandey. The leaders of the four houses—Emerald, Sapphire, Ruby, and Topaz—proudly saluted the Chief Guest as they showcased impeccable coordination and teamwork. The spirited school band, Red Velvet, further enhanced the grandeur of the event.

Torchbearers, including Reet Agarwal (SGFI selection), Dhanushree Chowdhury (CISCE National Boxing medalist), Deepanita Manik (National Carrom Champion), Archita Dey (National Table Tennis medalist) and Shreemayi Shyamal (CISCE Sports Award 2024 winner) proudly took the sportsman’s oath.,

Nursery students participated in colourful group races, marking their debut in the event, while KG and primary students competed in creative races such as Balance the Ball and Obstacle Race. Middle and senior students displayed athletic excellence in events like relays, Shot Put, Javelin, and Hurdles.

Special performances included a graceful drill titled “Little Blossoms” by students of Standards III to V, symbolizing the empowerment of the girl child, and a vibrant drill  “Rings of Victory” by students of Standards VI to VIII, which paid a heartfelt tribute to the Olympics.

The day concluded with a grand prize distribution, where trophies were awarded for Overall Championship to Emerald House and best Marching Contingent to Ruby House.

Best Athlete Awards went to Shambhavi Pathak (High School) and Reet Agarwal (Higher Secondary). The event reinforced the school’s commitment to inclusivity, teamwork, and the spirit of sportsmanship. A sincere vote of thanks was delivered to the school management, teachers, participants and supporters for making the event a resounding success.

YUVA 2024

The Colours of Youth: A Celebration of Talent and Creativity

 “Where passion meets purpose, the youth rise to shine.” With this spirit, J.H. Tarapore School proudly organized YUVA – the Intra-School Youth Fest on 26th October 2024. It was a day packed with excitement, learning, and creativity, providing a vibrant platform for students to showcase their skills and boost their confidence.

 The fest was inaugurated with a symbolic balloon release by our esteemed Director Ms. Rubina Bodhanwala, Principal Ms. Lata Sharat, and Vice-Principal Ms. Rukshana H. Gardin, marking the beginning of an extraordinary day. 

 A variety of events unfolded, allowing students to tap into their talents and innovate:

 The enthusiasm was overwhelming as every child gave their 100% participation, with each student contributing to at least one of the events. The spirit of teamwork, creativity, and innovation filled the day, fostering an atmosphere of joyful learning. It was truly a day well spent, where the colors of youth and talent shone brightly.
