Celebrating Safety Week 2025

A Day of Awareness, Action & Affirmation.

In an effort to instill the values of safety, awareness, and responsibility among students, J.H.Tarapore School is proud to have hosted Safety Week Activities for the academic year 2025 on Wednesday, 16th April 2025. The event was designed to engage students across all grades in age-appropriate, interactive, and thought-provoking activities centered around different aspects of safety. The Safety Week activities aim to empower students with practical knowledge, encourage empathy, and foster a culture of mindfulness and vigilance. Through these activities, the school reiterates its commitment to nurturing responsible, aware, and safe individuals.

The activities organized this year were:

Nursery: Learn safety through video and action songs.

LKG: Demonstration of good touch and bad touch.

UKG: Bingo sheets – Colour the boxes with objects which are not harmful. (Colour the boxes green)

STD. I & II: Worksheets on road safety.

STD. III: Solve an Internet Safety Checklist.

STD. IV: Solve crossword puzzle on Road Signs.

STD. V: Hands-on activity – Children learnt how to treat minor wounds.

STD. VI: Make your own safety badge (Individual activity) – Students creatively expressed a safety message using a self-made badge. E.g.:

– ‘Say No to Strangers’

– ‘Be Kind Online’

– ‘Stay Safe, Stay Smart’

STD. VII & VIII: Students participated in a chart-making activity. Each class focused on a specific type of safety preparing informative and visually appealing charts that spread awareness.

– *VII A* – Road Safety

– *VII B* – Fire Safety

– *VII C* – Personal Safety

– *VIII A* – Mental & Emotional Safety

– *VIII B* – Disaster Safety

– *VIII C* – Cyber Safety

STD. IX: Safety Scoop: Headlines That Matter – Students created a poster-sized newspaper collage using real news cuttings that highlight safety-related incidents or awareness efforts.

STD. X: Cyber Safety Meme Wall (Creative Poster) – Students designed memes on a big poster that highlighted cyber safety issues like:

– Phishing scams

– Password safety

– Social media privacy

– Online privacy

STD. XI & XII: Affirmation Tree for Mental Well-being (Positive Interactive Model) – Students created large affirmation trees (3D model) and each student wrote a positive affirmative or supportive message on paper leaves and hung it on to the branches of the trees. The result was a visually uplifting and emotionally supportive space for all.

YUVA 2024

The Colours of Youth: A Celebration of Talent and Creativity

 “Where passion meets purpose, the youth rise to shine.” With this spirit, J.H. Tarapore School proudly organized YUVA – the Intra-School Youth Fest on 26th October 2024. It was a day packed with excitement, learning, and creativity, providing a vibrant platform for students to showcase their skills and boost their confidence.

 The fest was inaugurated with a symbolic balloon release by our esteemed Director Ms. Rubina Bodhanwala, Principal Ms. Lata Sharat, and Vice-Principal Ms. Rukshana H. Gardin, marking the beginning of an extraordinary day. 

 A variety of events unfolded, allowing students to tap into their talents and innovate: 

 • Punch (One Word, Multiple Actions)

 • Pixelopedia (Photography Contest) 

 • Ikebana (Flower Arrangement) 

 • Fireless Feast 

 • Artistic Arms (Arm Painting)

 • Treasure Hunt (Expedition Unknown)

 • Rangoli Rush

 • Jewel Jester (Jewellery Designing) 

 • Art from the Heart (Canvas Painting)

 • Action Replay (Movie with a Twist)

 • Mathbeats (Rap with Maths)

 • Medley 

 • Groove’ N Glam (Group Dance)

 • Runway Revolution (Fashion Show)

 The enthusiasm was overwhelming as every child gave their 100% participation, with each student contributing to at least one of the events. The spirit of teamwork, creativity, and innovation filled the day, fostering an atmosphere of joyful learning. It was truly a day well spent, where the colors of youth and talent shone brightly.

BLOOD DONATION CAMP 2024

“THE GIFT OF BLOOD IS THE GIFT OF LIFE”

Blood is always needed to save lives and treat people. Blood donations are vital for patients undergoing surgeries, cancer treatment, organ transplant and those suffering from traumatic injuries. One donation can save up to three lives making each contribution   incredibly impactful.  J. H. Tarapore School organised the Blood Donation camp in the School premises on 26th April, 2024. The camp was conducted by the Jamshedpur Blood Bank for the benefit of Cancer patients. There was a decent participation from the parent community of the school.

The parents and relatives of the students participated in this camp with full enthusiasm.

ZEST – 2023

The Art, Debate and Dramatics and Adventure clubs of J.H.Tarapore school jointly organised an inter school fest ‘ZEST’ in the school premises on 12th August 2023.

‘ZEST – 2023’ sailed on an enthralling journey of creativity, courage and conquest. This season of ZEST brought an opportunity for students of the town to showcase their creative versatility, undaunting spirit and knowledge.

The chief guest for the occasion was Ms. Jaya Singh Panda, Chief Learning and Development and Chief Diversity Officer.

“Outwit/Outplay/Outlast” ZEST – 2023, unfurled a number of innovative and competitive off- stage and on-stage events wherein contestants showed active participation.

The on-stage events included ‘Conquer the Podium’ – Debate, ‘Ramp – de- Marche’- Fashion Show, ‘Questionnaire’- Quiz, ‘Kathputli’ – Story Telling through puppets, ‘NukkadNatak’.  Participants of more than 24 schools got a platform to showcase their talents and explore and learn various skills.

The off-stage events included Brushes over Blushes, Coco Artistry, Rukawat ke liye Khed Hai, Pallette Opulence, Manga Madness, Canopy Encampment. The students participated in these events with great enthusiasm.

The inter-school fest ‘ZEST-2023’ concluded with the prize distribution ceremony and the overall champion was VIDYA BHARTI CHINMAYA VIDYALAYA SCHOOL.

Fruit Fair 2022

“You are what you eat, so eat well and feel good”.

The Kg. Department celebrated a “Fruit Fair” on the 28th of June 2022. A special assembly was conducted where a variety of fruits were displayed so the children could see ,learn and identify the fruits correctly .
The teachers taught the tiny tots songs on fruits and danced along with them.
Later a fruit salad was prepared along with the children and the little ones relished it.
A worksheet on fruits was also done as a take home activity .
The day was packed with activities and the children had a lot of fun.

RESULT(2017-2018)

We are proud to announce that we have secured 100 percent board results in ISC and ICSE. The ISC topper was Kajal Kumari 98.5% and the ICSE topper was Aditi Thakur 97.4%.

Inter School Table Tennis Championship

The students of J. H. Tarapore School participated in the East Singhbhum District Inter School Table Tennis Championship which was held from April 27, 2018 to May 1, 2018 in the JRD Complex.

We are proud to announce that our school is the team winner. The team comprised of our star performer, Archita Dey, Romiyani Datta, Ayoniza Singh and Sristi Kumari.

Archita Dey(Std. IV) won three gold in all categories that is Cadet, Sub-Junior and Junior. In the open doubles category, she won the bronze medal.

Romiyani Datta(Std. V) won two bronze in Cadets and Open Doubles.
