Grandparent’s Day 2018

Grandparents are a delightful blend of laughter, caring deeds, wonderful stories and Love!

The students of J.H.Tarapore School celebrated “Grandparents Day” on 3rd November 2018. The students put up a programme filled with fun and games for their grandparents. The entertainment club of the school organized Antakshari in which the grandparents actively participated.
Our school believes that “Special People Deserve a Special Day”, and there can be no one more special than their grandparents, as they provide them with unconditional love, kindness, patience, humor and teach them the most important lessons in life.

J. H. Tarapore School will be participating actively in the 10th Jamshedpur JoyFest 2018(Donate for Dignity) so we request all our partners and stakeholders to come forward and donate generously. As we all move towards the festive season, lets all take up an initiative to light up the lives of all those who are not so privileged as us.

Hence come one come all and participate in the JoyFest and feel the joy of giving. Please find the details in the poster below.

A child may choose under any two categories to donate things listed in the poster below.

Please make sure that under the Ann-Daan category the quantity should be minimum half a kg of pulses, rice, flour etc. and/or two packets of biscuits.

 

हिंदी दिवस

दिनांक १४-०९-२०१८ को स्कूल में हिंदी दिवस का आयोजन किया गया, जिसमे सुबह के समय विभिन्न प्रतियोगिताएं करवाई गयी | जिसमे कक्षा एक से लेकर बारहवी तक की सभी छात्राओं ने बढ़ चढ़कर हिस्सा लिया | जैसे कार्ड मेकिंग, स्लोगन राइटिंग, कोलाज मेकिंग, कहानी लेखन आदि | शाम को वाक् शक्ति प्रतियोगिता आयोजित की गयी जिसमे  कक्षा छः से लेकर बारहवी  तक के  चुंनिंदा प्रतिभागी थे | मुख्य आकर्षण का केंद्र कक्षा छहः की काव्य नाटिका थी जो की विक्रम बेताल की कहानी पर आधारित थी  | जो सभी को बहुत पसंद आयी  | मुख्य अतिथी के रूप में श्रीमती नेहा तिवारी ने बच्चों को प्रोत्साहित किया  |  अंत में पुरष्कार देकर बच्चों को प्रोत्साहित किया गया | श्रीमान बोधनवाला सर और श्रीमती रुबीना मेम  ने पुष्प गुच्छ देकर मेहमानों का स्वागत किया |

J. J. Irani Award for Excellence in Education Award

We are proud to announce that our school received the Dr. J. J. Irani  Award for Excellence in Education Award on 22nd August, 2018.

This was the culmination of the efforts of all the stakeholders of our school, over the period of 15 years.

The school was awarded for having crossed the 600 mark band. Our principal Mrs. Lata Sharat received the award from Mr. T. V. Narendran, Managing Director, TATA Steel.

On this occasion, we also got several other awards. The environment club of our school received the Outstanding Activity Club Award for the year 2017-2018 for their project ‘ Practising 5 R’s to protect planet Earth’.

We were also recognised for our best practice( PEARL) for counselling of the students.

We also received an award in the PANKH “No Polythene Zone”  category of EQUIPS.

Our student cabinet ministers along the help of our teachers  initiated a community service project named ‘Books are books old or new’.

This award was received by our Vice Principal Mrs. Rukshana Gardin along with the Cabinet leader.

Proxscentia

A two day Inter School Fest was organized in J. H. Tarapore School on 7th and 8th of September, 2018 in the school premises jointly by the Computer and Young Global Leaders’ Club. It was a unique fest comprising technology along with a career fair. The chief guest for the occasion was Mr. Anurag Agnihotri, Chief IT Projects, TATA Steel. The program unfolded a number of innovative and competitive off stage events like Random Bits(IT Quiz), Bot Walk(Fashion show for Robots), Carriere(Ad Mad Show), Retrobo(Dance), Mic Drop(War of DJ) and Chalk Talk (Panel Talk).The off stage events included Cryptomaze(Treasure Hunt), Career Feria(Career Fair), MEMEion(Meme Designing), Studio 111(Video Editing), Fuzzy Logix (Programming) and Counter strike 1.6 (Gaming)which attracted enthusiastic participation. There were thirteen participating schools. Loyola School was declared the overall champion and Little Flower School bagged the runner up prize.

Convergence 2018

J.H. Tarapore School organised Convergence 2018, a fun filled workshop on 7th September, 2018. The students of Std V, from 12 schools of Jamshedpur participated in this non-competitive workshop.
The Chief Guest, Mrs. Deepa Sen Gupta, inaugurated the function. After the inauguration ceremony, various interesting activities were conducted. The first session was ‘Under Water Safari’. The students made under water plants and animals using materials like newspaper, paper plates etc. In the next session, ‘Go green, No Polythene’, the students were taught to reuse plastic bottles. The children made craft items like wall hangings, pen holder etc. by using waste materials. The next session, ‘Be Active, Be Cool’, was conducted by Mrs. Tina Bodhanwala Sood. The session helped the students to channelize their emotions through self-control, anxiety management and mental focus through mind-body exercises and fun filled activities.
This workshop ended with prize distribution ceremony. The prizes were awarded to groups and not to any particular school, thus spreading the message of love, friendship and togetherness.

Admission Procedure

  • According to the regulations laid down by the Right to Education Act, 2009, there will be no interview/interaction/assessment of the child neither the parent.
  • Admission will be granted only on the basis of Random Selection(Computerized lottery)

B.P.L. Category

  • 25% seats will be reserved for the children belonging to B.P.L. category.

Age

  • Applicants for L. Kg must be born between 16th September, 2014 to 15th September, 2015.
  • The Birth Certificate issued only by the Government Certified Authorities will be accepted.
  • The Birth Certificate in English or Hindi only, will be accepted.
  • The Birth Certificate should have been made within one year of child’s birth.
  • In case the Birth Certificate has been issued by the “Gram Panchayat”, it will only be accepted if it is duly signed and stamped by the “Panchayat Sevak” of the concerned Panchayat only.
  • Affidavits or Horoscopes will not be accepted.
  • The original birth certificate must be produced during the submission of forms for verification and it will be returned on the same day.

BEHTAR INDIA

As a part of ‘Behtar India’ Campaign and ‘Jamshedpur- I- Care Project’ a field trip was organized to Bhalo Pahar, Purulia district for students of Std 12.

The students offered their services by cleaning the channels leading to the water body which would enhance rain water harvesting. The forest was also cleaned. This ‘ shramdaan’ by the students is the best kind of community service.

Annual English Elocution(High School)-2018

The Annual English Elocution event of High School division of J. H. Tarapore school was held on 24th August,2018.

The chief guest for the event was Mrs. Sanghamitra Kabiraj.

The eminent panel of judges comprised Mrs. Shonali Goswami, Ms. Paramita Roy Choudhary and Mrs. Katy Nareilwala.

The elocution contest was divided into 4 sections.

Group A – It comprised a contest between the students of Std VI and Std VII who delivered prose pieces and stories. The winners of this category were:

1st – Mehreen Mumtaz
2nd – Tanisha Mukherjee

Group B – A declamation contest between the students of Std IX and Std X. The winners of this category were:

1st- Samiksha Ghoshal
2nd- Pavitra Peela

Group C- This year ‘Ted Talk’ was the highlight of the elocution contest where the students of Std XI and XII demonstrated the power of motivational speeches. The winners of this category were:

1st- Rupsi Chakraborty
2nd- Vasundhra Singh

Group D – This part of the event has ‘Dramatization of Poems’ by the students of Std VIII. The students enacted the poems “The Walrus and the Carpenter”, “The Tale of Melon City” and “John Brown”.

The Best Character awards went to Vaishnavi Prasad and Ariba Sarwar.

1st ASISC Regional Carrom Championship – 2018

The First ASISC Regional Carrom Championship-2018 was organized by our school on Saturday, 18th August 2018.  Arjuna Awardee, Mr. Bagicha Singh presided as the Chief Guest and Mrs. Indrani Singh, Zonal Coordinator presided as the special  guest for the opening ceremony.

There were total of 54 players from 4 Zones of Jharkhand & Bihar region namely Deoghar, Patna, Ranchi and Jamshedpur Zone. The chief referee of this event was Mr. G. Ravi Shankar, Sports Secretary, LIC Sports Club.

The categories for the same were Junior / Senior Boys & Junior / Senior Girls.
