J. H. Tarapore School joyfully celebrated its 𝐊𝐠. & 𝐍𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬’ 𝐃𝐚𝐲 on 𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝟕𝐭𝐡 𝐅𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, with the meaningful theme “𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝.” The event beautifully conveyed the message of harmony, unity, and global togetherness through delightful performances by the young learners.

The little stars presented charming dance performances symbolizing love, friendship, and peace across different cultures and countries. Their innocence, confidence, and expressive movements filled the atmosphere with joy and warmth, leaving the audience deeply impressed.

One of the highlights of the programme was the 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 of the youngest group of students, whose presence on stage added a special charm and emotional touch to the celebration.

𝐌𝐫. 𝐁𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐲 𝐁𝐨𝐝𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐚 graced the occasion with his presence and support, adding to the significance of the celebration.

Parents and guests appreciated the enthusiastic performances of the children and the dedicated efforts of the teachers, which made the program a memorable success.

Among these achievers, the highlighted students have successfully qualified for the 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐎𝐥𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐚𝐝, earning the opportunity to compete at the next level. Their achievement brings great pride to the school and serves as an inspiration to their peers. We congratulate all the medal winners and wish our second-round qualifiers the very best for the upcoming stage of the competition.

Winter Carnival 2026

On 22 January, a grand Winter Carnival was successfully organized on the premises of J.H. Tarapore School. Students from Classes I to V attended the carnival along with their parents, while students from Class VI onwards also participated actively and enthusiastically in various activities. The entire campus was filled with joy, excitement, and festive cheer.
The most noteworthy aspect of the event was a commendable pledge taken collectively by all the children—that no matter how enjoyable the fair might be, they would not litter the surroundings. Owing to this pledge and the conscious efforts made by the students, the school grounds remained clean and well-maintained even at the end of the carnival.
The Winter Carnival proved to be a wonderful blend of entertainment, learning, and social responsibility, and was enjoyed by all, making it a memorable and successful event.

The formal Graduation Night and Valediction was held on
16 th January, 2026. It was a solemn day that marked the achievements, hard work and determination of the students as they celebrated a significant milestone in their academic journey.

J. H. Tarapore School hosted its grand Farewell Ceremony for the outgoing batch of 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓–𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 on 𝟏𝟓𝐭𝐡 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 at the prestigious 𝐀𝐮𝐫𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐳𝐝𝐚 𝐀𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐮𝐦. This year’s celebration embraced the enchanting theme “𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐡𝐞𝐫-𝐞-𝐌𝐨𝐡𝐚𝐛𝐛𝐚𝐭”, recreating the timeless charm and old-world romance of purani Dilli. The venue came alive with warm hues, intricate décor, and a soulful atmosphere that beautifully captured the cultural richness of the capital’s bygone era.

The afternoon was filled with nostalgia and celebration as students, teachers, and staff gathered to honour the graduating class through heartfelt speeches, vibrant performances, and special recognitions.

23rd Annual Sports Day 2025

J.H. Tarapore School hosted its 23rd Annual Sports Day on 8th December 2025, transforming the school grounds into a hub of athletic achievement, teamwork, and enthusiastic school spirit. The event began with a warm welcome to the Chief Guest, our Director, Mrs. Rubina Bodhanwala. She was graciously received by the Principal, Mrs. Lata Sharat, and the Vice Principal, Mrs. Rukshana Gardin. They also extended a cordial welcome to the former Director of our school, Mrs. Nargis A. Madon, who graced the occasion as a special guest. Their words of encouragement and appreciation set a positive and inspiring tone for the day. Following the welcome, the Chief Guest hoisted the school flag and declared the meet open.

A well-synchronised and impressive March Past by students of Std. IX–XII, led by the School Pupil Leader, Vanya Pandey, and the Assistant School Pupil Leader, Sreyangsi Chakraborty, marked a proud beginning to the programme. This was followed by the torch-lighting ceremony led by Ayesha Baig, Pragya Bhardwaj, Shubangee Saha, Anshika Sharma, Nandini Singh, and Hiba Firdous. The Sportsman’s Oath was administered confidently by Meghna Giri, Sports Minister, and Yashika, Assistant Sports Minister.

The programme featured cheerful and imaginative primary events such as The Happy Scoops Run, Toe-tastic Challenge, Collector’s Crunch, and The Obstacle Dash, filling the field with joy and enthusiasm. This was followed by a graceful and well-coordinated Yoga Display by primary and middle school students. Senior students showcased speed and determination in the 100 m and 200 m flat races, drawing energetic applause from the audience. The spirited Tug of War, along with the Faculty and Didi’s Events, added a lively and engaging conclusion to the competitions.

The meet concluded with the prize distribution ceremony, honouring students for their outstanding performances. It also included the announcement of special recognitions:

A New Chapter Begins at J. H. Tarapore School

J. H. Tarapore School marked a proud milestone with the inauguration of its new State-of-the-art auditorium: Aura Mazda – The Light of Wisdom, on Sunday November 2nd, 2025.

Following the inauguration, Aura Mazda came alive with its first-ever theatrical production – Khul Jaa Sim Sim – The Wonder Cave – a grand retelling of Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves. The shows were held from 12th to 14th November, with four performances in total. The evening shows on the 13th and 14th welcomed parents, Management Committee members and dignitaries, while special morning shows were organised for students and invited schools.

The school transformed into an Arabian desert world – golden dunes, lanterns, markets and mystical caves – immersing guests in Ali Baba’s vibrant realm from the moment they stepped in.

Inside the auditorium, Aura Mazda’s modern design elevated the production. The LED screen drew viewers into the cave, intelligent lighting added dramatic depth and the acoustics with the school choir brought every moment alive – creating a truly immersive and unforgettable experience.

Marking 23 years of shaping young minds, Director Mrs. Rubina Bodhanwala captured  J. H. Tarapore School’s journey from humble beginnings to a respected institution in the heart of the city. Through thoughtful narration she highlighted the school’s dedication to quality education, life skills and values – nurturing confident, compassionate, and capable learners ready to face life with integrity.

The Principal, Mrs Lata Sharat in her speech expressed her gratitude to all the stakeholders for being supportive to the institution from its inception. 

Aura Mazda is not just a performance stage – it is a creative space where students have the freedom to explore, express and excel. In the years ahead, it will serve as a vibrant platform for cultural programmes, elocutions, debates, and inter-school competitions, helping every child of J. H. Tarapore School truly shine with learning, confidence, and creativity.

J. H. Tarapore School Inaugurates State-of-the-Art Auditorium

Jamshedpur, November 2, 2025:
J. H. Tarapore School celebrated a proud milestone with the inauguration of its new auditorium, Aura Mazda — In the Light of Wisdom. The event was graced by members of the Managing Committee and distinguished guests.

The Chairman, Mr. Bailey Bodhanwala, formally inaugurated the auditorium on his birthday, adding a personal touch to the joyous occasion. The ceremony began with a Jashan performed by the Zoroastrian Priests, invoking blessings for wisdom and success.

In her welcome address, Principal Mrs. Lata Sharat spoke about the school’s commitment to nurturing creativity and excellence through improved infrastructure.

Director Mrs. Rubina Bodhanwala delivered a heartfelt speech, sharing how Mrs. Tina Bodhanwala Sood, their daughter, took forward her father’s dream of building this state-of-the-art facility, especially during his period of ill health.

Equipped with advanced sound and lighting systems, modern stage facilities, and a high-resolution LED screen, the new auditorium will serve as a platform for cultural programmes, workshops, and inter-school events.

The ceremony concluded with a brunch for guests and teachers, marking a day of pride, gratitude, and celebration at J. H. Tarapore School.
