J. H. Tarapore School enthusiastically celebrated the International Yoga Day 2026 with great zeal. This year’s theme, ” ๐๐จ๐ ๐ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐ญ๐ก๐ฒ ๐๐ ๐๐ข๐ง๐ , ” highlighted the importance of yoga in maintaining physical fitness, mental well-being, and vitality at every stage of life.

๐ซ๐๐๐ค๐ฌ ๐๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ of the Primary Department and the ๐๐๐ฏ๐๐ง๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ ๐๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ of the High School. The celebration began with an introduction of the ๐๐ง๐ญ๐๐ซ๐ง๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐๐จ๐ ๐ ๐๐๐ฒ and the relevance of this year’s theme. The students learned how regular yoga practice helps improve flexibility, strength, balance, concentration, and overall health, contributing to healthy ageing and a better quality of life.
A series of yoga asanas, including ๐๐๐ซ๐ฎ๐๐๐ฌ๐๐ง๐, ๐๐๐๐๐ก๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ฌ๐๐ง๐ , ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ค๐ก๐๐ฌ๐๐ง๐ , and ๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐๐ง๐ , were performed by the students. Along with the demonstrations, the benefits of each of the asanas were explained, helping students understand the positive impact of yoga on both the body and mind.
The session concluded with ๐๐ก๐ซ๐๐ฆ๐๐ซ๐ข ๐๐ซ๐๐ง๐๐ฒ๐๐ฆ๐ , which promoted relaxation and inner calm. This was followed by energetic rhythmic clapping that filled the atmosphere with enthusiasm and joy. The programme ended on a peaceful note with the collective chanting of ๐๐ฆ , leaving everyone refreshed, focused, and inspired.
