About J H Tarapore The formal Graduation Night and valediction was held on 19th January, 2024. It was a solemn event in which the Senior Management members, Mrs. Nargis Madon, former Director, the Principal Mrs. Lata Sharat, the Vice Principal Mrs. Rukshana Gardin blessed and wished the students of Std.XII luck for their future endeavours in the midst of their parents. The students were presented with mementos and certificates.

J.H. Tarapore School bid adieu to the twelfthers on 16th January, 2024 (Tuesday). The evening was a celebration dedicated to the years spent together with friends and teachers, reminiscing joyous moments.
The programme was graced by the Principal and all the teachers of the Higher Secondary Department. The Principal of the school, Mrs. Lata Sharat addressed the students. She appreciated the efforts of the students for enthusiastically participating in varied competitions and raising the bar of perfection. She wished them luck to make a mark in the world outside, carrying forth the values instilled in them.
The highlight of the function was the beautiful cultural presentation by Std. XI. The much awaited Year Book, a platter of ecstasy, retrospect and bitter sweet memories compiled by the students of Std XI, was presented to Std.XII. AANAVI SINGH was crowned Miss JHTS, FAREEHA AMIN was adjudged Miss Fashionista, PALVIKA RATHORE was given the title of Miss Popular, PALAK PRIYA and AARUSHI JHA bagged the title of Miss Confident and Miss Influenga respectively .
Thus ended a beautiful evening marked with both happiness and sorrow.
JH Tarapore School Hosts Enchanting Kg. Parents’ Night Celebrating International Year of Millets.
JH Tarapore School, a beacon of education excellence, joyously celebrated their Kg. Patents’ Night on Thursday, December 14th, 2023. The evening unfolded with the theme of the International Year of Millets, captivating parents and guests alike.
Against the backdrop of cultural diversity, the children of JH Tarapore School took the audience on a mesmerizing journey across India through vibrant dance and music performances. Each act showcased the rich tapestry of harvest festivals from different states, adding a kaleidoscope of colors and traditions to the event.
The distinguished Chief Guest for the evening was Mrs. Rubina Bodhanwala, whose presence added an extra layer of honor to the celebration. Joining her were esteemed guests Mr. Bodhanwala, Ms. Tina Bodhanwala Sood, and Mrs. Nargis Madon, who graced the occasion with their warmth and support.
The International Year of Millets theme not only provided a cultural extravaganza but also served as an opportunity to raise awareness about the nutritional and ecological significance of millets, promoting sustainable practices.

J.H.Tarapore School hosted its 21st Annual Sports Day at the renowned J.R.D Tata Sports Complex on December 4th, 2023.
The day was filled with sportsmanship and teamwork as the Chief Guest Mr. Mukesh Agarwal, the Chief HRBP – Steel TSJ & Chief Wellness Officer Tata Steel, declared the sports meet open.
Led by the School Pupil Leader, Aarushi Jha and Assistant School Pupil Leader, Mehreen Mumtaz, the march past displayed synchronized movements by the four houses – Emerald, Sapphire, Ruby and Topaz. The School Band, Red Velvets, played tunes that made the parade more lively and exciting.
The students of std IV & V participated in the Martial Serenity Display, a drill based on martial arts and yoga. Meanwhile the students of VI to VIII paid tribute to the Indian Space Research Organisation:ISRO and Chandrayaan by performing Lunar Exploration Extravaganza drill.
Within the lively sports arena, students exuded remarkable sportsmanship in sprints and relays. The tiny tots from Kindergarten and the budding talents of Std I to III added charm to the races. Simultaneously, relay races by students of Std VI to XII, held the attention of the onlookers.
The presence of the Former Director Mrs. Nargis Madon, Principal Mrs. Lata Sharat and Vice Principal Mrs. Rukshana Gardin at the event significantly boosted the morale and confidence of the students.
The closing ceremony included a grand prize distribution with Emerald house winning the Overall Champions Trophy.
The trophy with the best marching contingent was awarded to the Sapphire house.
The prestigious Best Athlete Award in the High School category was bagged by Shambhavi Pathak, while in the Higher Secondary category, the honour went to Mihika Pal.

Our talented students mesmerized the audience with a captivating dance to inaugurate the prestigious ISQ Conference 2023. Held at the United Club, Jamshedpur, on December 1, 2023, the event showcased the school’s commitment to excellence.
Draped in gold and purple costumes, our girls swirled and twirled, creating an enchanting spectacle that transcended mere movements. Their Vandana, a spiritual blend of rhythmic grace, gestures, and fluid motions, left the audience spellbound, invoking the blessings of the Almighty.
J.H. Tarapore School organized YUVA – the intra – school youth fest, on 14th November, 2023. It was declared open with the release of balloons by our Director Ms. Rubina Bodhanwala, Principal Ms. Lata Sharat and Vice-Principal Ms. Rukshana H. Gardin.
The events like Stand-up Comedy, Lipan Art, Jewellery Designing, Lamp Shade Making, Co-Co Artistry brought in creativity, innovation and created an atmosphere of learning with joy.

The Primary Department of J. H. Tarapore School witnessed an impressive showcase of eloquence and talent as students from standards II to V participated in the English and Hindi elocution competition on Saturday, 23 September, 2023. The event commenced with the English elocution, followed by the Hindi elocution, creating a vibrant atmosphere of linguistic prowess.
The event was graced by esteemed chief guests who are renowned in their respective fields. Mrs. Nargis A Madon, former Director, J. H. Tarapore school presided over the English elocution competition. In the Hindi elocution segment, we were honored to have Ms. Meena Jha, Head, I.T. Department, Tata Steel.
The students from Stds. IV & V showcased their individual poetic brilliance in the English elocution category. The competition was fierce, but two outstanding students emerged victorious. RISHIKA KUMARI of Std. IV stood 1st & TANUJA ABHILASH of Std. IV stood 2nd, VASUDHA LAKSHMI MAHTO of Std. V stood 1st & SHIVANSHI of Std. V stood 2nd captivated the audience with their eloquent recitations and were declared the winners of the English elocution competition.
In the Hindi elocution category, students from std. IV & V exhibited their linguistic prowess. SHIPRA SHARMA of Std. V stood 1st & DHANVI B. KOTHARI of Std. V stood 2nd , ANAMIKA of Std. IV stood 1st & MUNIRA ZUBAIR of Std. IV stood 2nd left the audience spellbound with their flawless Hindi recitations and were hailed as the winners of the Hindi elocution competition.
Stds. II and III participated in the Choral Recitation Competition, displaying their teamwork and harmony. The students of Std. II / A emerged victorious, both in English and Hindi choral recitation, showcasing their unity and linguistic skills.
The event was a testament to the dedication and hard work of both the students and their teachers. It highlighted the importance of nurturing linguistic talents from an early age and fostering a love for languages.
