Enchanting Performance at ISQ Conference

Our talented students mesmerized the audience with a captivating dance to inaugurate the prestigious ISQ Conference 2023. Held at the United Club, Jamshedpur, on December 1, 2023, the event showcased the school’s commitment to excellence.

Draped in gold and purple costumes, our girls swirled and twirled, creating an enchanting spectacle that transcended mere movements. Their Vandana, a spiritual blend of rhythmic grace, gestures, and fluid motions, left the audience spellbound, invoking the blessings of the Almighty.

YUVA 2023

J.H. Tarapore School organized YUVA – the intra – school youth fest, on 14th November, 2023. It was declared open with the release of balloons by our Director Ms. Rubina Bodhanwala, Principal Ms. Lata Sharat and Vice-Principal Ms. Rukshana H. Gardin.

The events like Stand-up Comedy, Lipan Art, Jewellery Designing, Lamp Shade Making, Co-Co Artistry brought in creativity, innovation and created an atmosphere of learning with joy.

It was a day full of fun and enjoyment which helped in tapping the inherent talents of the children.

English & Hindi Elocution Competition 2023

The Primary Department of J. H. Tarapore School witnessed an impressive showcase of eloquence and talent as students from standards II to V participated in the English and Hindi elocution competition on Saturday, 23 September, 2023. The event commenced with the English elocution, followed by the Hindi elocution, creating a vibrant atmosphere of linguistic prowess.

The event was graced by esteemed chief guests who are renowned in their respective fields. Mrs. Nargis A Madon, former Director, J. H. Tarapore school presided over the English elocution competition. In the Hindi elocution segment, we were honored to have Ms. Meena Jha, Head, I.T. Department, Tata Steel.

The students from Stds. IV & V showcased their individual poetic brilliance in the English elocution category. The competition was fierce, but two outstanding students emerged victorious.  RISHIKA KUMARI of Std. IV stood 1st & TANUJA ABHILASH of Std. IV stood 2nd, VASUDHA LAKSHMI MAHTO of Std. V stood 1st & SHIVANSHI of Std. V stood 2nd captivated the audience with their eloquent recitations and were declared the winners of the English elocution competition.

In the Hindi elocution category, students from std. IV & V exhibited their linguistic prowess. SHIPRA SHARMA of Std. V stood 1st & DHANVI B. KOTHARI of Std. V stood 2nd , ANAMIKA of Std. IV stood 1st & MUNIRA ZUBAIR of Std. IV stood 2nd  left the audience spellbound with their flawless Hindi recitations and were hailed as the winners of the Hindi elocution competition.

Stds. II and III participated in the Choral Recitation Competition, displaying their teamwork and harmony. The students of Std. II / A emerged victorious, both in English and Hindi choral recitation, showcasing their unity and linguistic skills.

The event was a testament to the dedication and hard work of both the students and their teachers. It highlighted the importance of nurturing linguistic talents from an early age and fostering a love for languages.

ANNUAL HINDI ELOCUTION CONTEST – 2023

J. H. Tarapore school organised the Annual Hindi Elocution Contest on 14th September, 2023 with an aim to promote effective public-speaking skills among students. The event was graced by the presence of our esteemed Chief Guest, Neeta Agarwal, Chairperson, Rotary Club, Jamshedpur West.

The Elocution featured participants competing across a range of categories, each displaying exceptional oratory skills. The categories included Story Telling, Declamation, Poetry Recitation and Poetry Dramatization showcasing the diverse talents of our students.

The eminent panel of judges comprised Dr. Aruna Jha, Teacher, Kerala Samajam Model School, Dr. Devina Chaturvedi, Senior Hindi Teacher, Sacred Heart Convent School and Mrs. Sangita Singh, Head of the Department (Hindi) , RVS Academy.The judges expressed satisfaction at the selection of prose, poetry and speeches of great leaders by students and their delivery. The diligent efforts of the participants was highly appreciated by the distinguished panel of judges who expressed that such competitions lead to free flow of ideas.

The students were categorized into four groups.

Group A consisted of Declamation  by Std.XI and XII. The first prize was won by ANJALI KUMARI and the second prize was won by SHREEJA SINGH

Group B consisted of Story Telling by the students of Std.IX and X. The first prize was won by PRARTHANA KUMARI and the second prize was won by ZAINA FATIMA

Group C consisted of Poetry Recitation by the students of Std.VII and VIII. The first prize in this category was won by SANSKRITI CHOUDHARY the second  prize was won by ANTARA PATEL

Group D consisted of ‘Dramatization of Poems’ by the students of Std VI. The children enacted poems like “Jaisi Karni Vaisi Bharni”, “Jungle Mei Chunav” and “Brahamin aur Sher”. It was a spectacular display of dramatic and oratory skills. The winner was ‘JUNGLE MEI CHUNAV’, ‘ Std. 6B and the Best Character and the Best Costume Award First Prize was won by BAKRI KA BACCHHA, APARNA YADAV  and Second Prize was won by BIRJU, NAVIKA KUMARI.

We eagerly anticipate the continued growth of elocution in the years to come and remain indebted to all who contributed to it’s triumph.

Mrs. Vidya Battiwala, whose insightful remarks added immense value to the occasion.

The Elocution featured participants competing across a range of categories, each displaying exceptional oratory skills. The categories included Story Telling, Declamation, Ted Talks and Poetry Dramatization showcasing the diverse talents of our students.

The eminent panel of judges comprised Mrs. Anindita Roy, Vice Principal, JUSCO School Kadma, Mrs. Richa Mishra, English Teacher, Loyola School and Ms. Swati Kamboj, Teacher Incharge English and Elective English, Tarapore School, Agrico. The judges expressed satisfaction at the selection of prose, poetry and speeches of great leaders by students and their delivery. The diligent efforts of the participants were highly appreciated by the distinguished panel of judges who expressed that such competitions lead to free flow of ideas.

The students were categorized into four groups.

Group A consisted of Story Telling by the students of Std VI and VII. The first prize in this category was won by Sonali Kumari, the second  prize was won by Kumari Shree

Group B consisted of Declamation by the students of Std. IX and X. The first prize was won by
Amrita Pandey and the second prize was won by Akriti Kumari.

Group C consisted of ‘TED TALKS’ by STD XI and XII. The first prize was won by Rashi Mahato and the second prize was won by Satakshi Tiwari.

Group D consisted of ‘Dramatization of Poems’ by the students of Std. VIII. The children enacted poems like “The Walrus and the Carpenter”, “The Monkey and the Crocodile” and “The Ballad of Sir Pertab Singh”. It was a spectacular display of dramatic and oratory skills. The winner was “The Monkey and the Crocodile” and the Best Character Awards went to Yashika Saha and Sanskriti Chaudhary.

J.H.Tarapore School, a hub of academic excellence, is thrilled to extend warm congratulations to the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) for the successful execution of the Chandrayaan Mission. This remarkable achievement represents a significant milestone in India’s space exploration journey.

Adding to the pride of this achievement, JHTS is delighted to highlight the involvement of two of its accomplished ex-students Pragya Shah & Shivam Saurav in prestigious projects at ISRO.

“We are equally delighted and proud of our ex- students who are currently making valuable contributions to another significant project within ISRO”, said Principal, Mrs. Lata Sharat. “Their achievements serve as shining examples of JHTS’s commitment to fostering excellence and nurturing future leaders.”

Both Pragya & Shivam are Scientists/ Engineers at ISRO.

Shivam Saurav (Batch 2015) is in the Human Space Flight Centre, responsible for quality assurance of space systems, while Pragya Shah (Batch 2013), is the Team Leader for the Crew Module’s Checkout System.

Their journey from the J.H.Tarapore halls to the forefront of space research is a testament to the commitment of the school in nurturing innovative and dedicated individuals. The school remains committed to producing exceptional individuals who can bring a positive change to various fields.

Navroze Mubarak – 2023

The Navroze program held at J. H. Tarapore School was a vibrant celebration of culture and diversity. The event featured a splendid mix of performances, including a captivating song and dance sequence that brought the essence of Navroze to life. The students’ enthusiastic participation added a joyful touch to the occasion. Additionally, a well-crafted PowerPoint presentation highlighted the significance of Navroze, providing insights into its historical and cultural importance. Overall, the program was a delightful showcase of talent, unity, and the spirit of Navroze.

Independence Day Celebration-2023

The 77th Independence Day celebration at our school was a vibrant and patriotic event, organized by the enthusiastic students of Std VII. The atmosphere was filled with a sense of national pride as the young participants showcased their talents through a mesmerizing patriotic song, a heartfelt poem, and an energetic dance performance. The event not only celebrated our country’s freedom but also highlighted the unity and creativity of our students as they came together to pay homage to our nation’s rich history.

ZEST – 2023

The Art, Debate and Dramatics and Adventure clubs of J.H.Tarapore school jointly organised an inter school fest ‘ZEST’ in the school premises on 12th August 2023.

‘ZEST – 2023’ sailed on an enthralling journey of creativity, courage and conquest. This season of ZEST brought an opportunity for students of the town to showcase their creative versatility, undaunting spirit and knowledge.

The chief guest for the occasion was Ms. Jaya Singh Panda, Chief Learning and Development and Chief Diversity Officer.

“Outwit/Outplay/Outlast” ZEST – 2023, unfurled a number of innovative and competitive off- stage and on-stage events wherein contestants showed active participation.

The on-stage events included ‘Conquer the Podium’ – Debate, ‘Ramp – de- Marche’- Fashion Show, ‘Questionnaire’- Quiz, ‘Kathputli’ – Story Telling through puppets, ‘NukkadNatak’.  Participants of more than 24 schools got a platform to showcase their talents and explore and learn various skills.

The off-stage events included Brushes over Blushes, Coco Artistry, Rukawat ke liye Khed Hai, Pallette Opulence, Manga Madness, Canopy Encampment. The students participated in these events with great enthusiasm.

The inter-school fest ‘ZEST-2023’ concluded with the prize distribution ceremony and the overall champion was VIDYA BHARTI CHINMAYA VIDYALAYA SCHOOL.
