J. H. Tarapore School formally inducted its newly elected Student Cabinet for the academic session 2025 – 2026 on Tuesday, July 1st, in a grand Investiture Ceremony. The solemn occasion was graced by the presence of Ms. Rubina Bodhanwala, Director of the school, along with the Principal Ms. Lata Sharat and Vice-Principal Ms. Rukshana Gardin.
A total of 54 student leaders were officially entrusted with their respective responsibilities during the event. The ceremony commenced with a majestic procession followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp – a symbolic gesture representing the illumination of knowledge and wisdom.
The proceedings began with the swearing-in of School Pupil Leader, Vanya Pandey (Std. XII) and Assistant School Pupil Leader Sreyangsi Chakraborty (Std. XI). This was followed by the induction of house leaders [Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, and Topaz]; the Sports, Cultural, Discipline, Cleanliness, Wellness, Ethics and Community Care Leaders; as well as the Club Leaders and their assistants.
In her address to the gathering, Principal Ms. Lata Sharat underscored the significance of student leadership, stressing the values of accountability, dedication, and teamwork. She highlighted how the student cabinet plays a pivotal role in shaping a vibrant and disciplined school culture.
A key moment of the event was the ceremonial pinning of badges, followed by the oath-taking, where each cabinet member pledged to uphold the ethos of the school and serve with honesty and integrity.
The atmosphere was charged with a sense of pride and responsibility as the newly appointed leaders stood poised to begin their journey. The Investiture Ceremony served not only as a formal installation but as a powerful reminder of the trust placed in these young leaders – ready to lead with conviction and character, and make meaningful contribution to their school community.
