78th Independence Day

The 78th Independence Day celebration at J.H.Tarapore School this year was both vibrant and inspiring, showcasing the students’ pride in their nation’s progress since gaining independence. The event, presided over by Mrs. Tina Bodhawala Sood, the Director of Tarapore School, Agrico, who motivated the students to be good citizens, was filled with performances that reflected India’s remarkable journey through the decades after 1947.

The key highlight of the celebration was a short skit performed by the students of Std VII, titled “India’s Journey Through the Decades.” The skit depicted India’s transformation across various fields, including technology, education, economy, and social reforms. Through their compelling performances, the students illustrated how far the nation has come since 1947, portraying the triumphs of each decade.

The celebration began with a patriotic song that paid tribute to India’s growth and achievements, followed by a graceful dance that reflected the nation’s pride and evolving spirit. A heartfelt poem honoured the pioneers who shaped modern India. The March-past accompanied by the school band “Red Velvet”, added to the event’s grandeur.

The event concluded with a powerful pledge against tobacco use, underscoring the importance of healthy living and the collective responsibility to raise awareness. The program left everyone with a deep sense of pride in India’s progress and a renewed commitment to a healthier future.
