Zest, an interschool Fest, was orgainsed by the Interact Club, Debates and Dramatic Club and Arts Club of JH Tarapore School, on 6th of December 2014, at the JH Tarapore School premises.
Fourteen schools participated in the event.
The inauguration of the fest began with lighting of the lamp, followed by a prayer dance.
The events hosted at the at the fest were broadly divided into two categories: On Stage and Off Stage.
The On Stage events included Groove-n-move (Dance), Boulevard (Drama) and Pair Fair (Fashion Show). The Off Stage events were Stanied Mural (Glass painting), Assemblage (Rangoli making), Object D art (Canvas painting), Game-o-drome (Gaming), Spin win (Spin a story), Quickhatch (Poetry magic), Quest (Treasure hunt).
The participants’ enthusiasm made the events a grand success and contrbuted to the overall success of Zest. But the highlight of Zest was the panel discussion on an interesting topic, ‘These inter school fests are a wastage of time.’ It was made livelier by the eminent speakers from different walks of life.
It has been felt that fests like Zest provide a great platform to the children to showcase their talents and skills and also a forum to interact and share with each other. It teaches the children to communicate effectively to work in a team and to express themselves to the world.
This is a way of imparting meaningful education. We look forward to organising such events for the growth and development of children.
