J. H. Tarapore School, Jamshedpur organized the “Fit India School Week” 2020 in association with the Fit India Movement undertaken by Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination from 14th December to 19th December, 2020.
The event began with Virtual assembly followed by a warm up session and an aerobics session. The virtual assembly concluded by a speech by the director of the school.
Various activities were conducted throughout the week to sensitize the students about fitness. Our coaches were very thoughtful in making demonstration videos to guide the students about the activities which were supposed to be performed by the students. The activities such as Yoga, Fun and Fitness, poster making competition, essay writing saw full excitement and participation from students. The Virtual Challenge and Family Fitness Challenge were particularly interesting as this event witnessed the enthusiasm of parents and even grandparents.
Our school received the prestigious certificate of participation from SAI. The team of Sports department made this achievement possible for our school which includes Mr. Vurity Arun Kumar, H.O.D. Sports, Miss. Ekta Mondal, Primary Games Teacher,Miss. Shweta Sinha, Yoga Instructor, Mr. Amol Dubraj, Football coach, Ms. Shilpi Das, Taekwondo coach and Md. Meraz, Basketball coach.
