J. H. Tarapore school organised the Annual Hindi Elocution Contest on 14th September, 2023 with an aim to promote effective public-speaking skills among students. The event was graced by the presence of our esteemed Chief Guest, Neeta Agarwal, Chairperson, Rotary Club, Jamshedpur West.
The Elocution featured participants competing across a range of categories, each displaying exceptional oratory skills. The categories included Story Telling, Declamation, Poetry Recitation and Poetry Dramatization showcasing the diverse talents of our students.
The eminent panel of judges comprised Dr. Aruna Jha, Teacher, Kerala Samajam Model School, Dr. Devina Chaturvedi, Senior Hindi Teacher, Sacred Heart Convent School and Mrs. Sangita Singh, Head of the Department (Hindi) , RVS Academy.The judges expressed satisfaction at the selection of prose, poetry and speeches of great leaders by students and their delivery. The diligent efforts of the participants was highly appreciated by the distinguished panel of judges who expressed that such competitions lead to free flow of ideas.
The students were categorized into four groups.
Group A consisted of Declamation by Std.XI and XII. The first prize was won by ANJALI KUMARI and the second prize was won by SHREEJA SINGH
Group B consisted of Story Telling by the students of Std.IX and X. The first prize was won by PRARTHANA KUMARI and the second prize was won by ZAINA FATIMA
Group C consisted of Poetry Recitation by the students of Std.VII and VIII. The first prize in this category was won by SANSKRITI CHOUDHARY the second prize was won by ANTARA PATEL
Group D consisted of ‘Dramatization of Poems’ by the students of Std VI. The children enacted poems like “Jaisi Karni Vaisi Bharni”, “Jungle Mei Chunav” and “Brahamin aur Sher”. It was a spectacular display of dramatic and oratory skills. The winner was ‘JUNGLE MEI CHUNAV’, ‘ Std. 6B and the Best Character and the Best Costume Award First Prize was won by BAKRI KA BACCHHA, APARNA YADAV and Second Prize was won by BIRJU, NAVIKA KUMARI.
We eagerly anticipate the continued growth of elocution in the years to come and remain indebted to all who contributed to it’s triumph.
